Cable Factory, Merikaapelihalli Tallberginkatu 1, Helsinki Show map

11:00 – 18:00 // 9 € from tiketti / 10 € from door

The number one event in Helsinki for vintage lovers.

Helsinki Vintage is the biggest vintage fair in the Nordics, inviting sellers from all over Europe and Finland. Besides authentic vintage goods, products influenced by bygone decades are also on sale, as well as services that fit the vintage theme, including a hairdresser, shoemaker and restoration service.

If you’re not a big shopper, the programme offers a lot of other vintage candy to chose from. Vintage culture, including live music, burlesque and other artforms will be part of the show and we’re sure you’ll be thoroughly entertained even if you just decide to ‘swing’ by to have something to do on a Sunday.

If you can’t wait til Sunday to enjoy the vintage vibe, you may want to check out Sweet Jeena & her Sweethearts and the Itty-bitty Tease Cabaret at Ravintola Belly (Uudenmaankatu 16) on Saturday 18 September. The show will only set you back another 10 € and is organised in cooperation with Fullsteam and Helsinki Vintage.

24 APRIL: THE RETURN OF THE FOUND FILMS

Posted 23 April 2010 by Anna

@ Studio Galleria Volga, Museokatu 34, Helsinki
19:00-21:00 // free

The Found Film event was born when a filmmaker, who had been collecting old 8 mm films from flea markets, decided to share some of the hidden treasures he had discovered with an audience. After a successful first screening in a packed Myymälä2, the Found Films will return once more this Saturday.

Come by Studio Galleria Volga and enjoy the bizarre, beautiful and definitely surprising films, accompanied by a soundtrack of old 7″ singles.

This time most of the films are other people’s findings and everyone is welcome to bring their own little jewels to be screened.

(Hot tip: If you want a seat, be on time.)
