The amazingly talented graphic designer and Hello Helsinki volunteer Maarja Jullinen has been sweating her pretty butt off in a sauna like office all month to finish an über cool blog header:

With the World Cup over (finally) and the sun shining like hell you have no legit reason to stay inside and watch YouTube videos all summer. And if you for some reason are still stuck in an office, we hope you plan to check out some beach action on your days off.

Which brings us to the core of today’s post:

The amazing HELLO HELSINKI Beach Review Competition!

We know you have your favorite places to hit the beach and get tanned. We know that you can play beach volley and eat ice cream all weekend long at Hietaniemi beach. We know that you know what makes that secret little cove on Pihlajasaari a sure hit on a picnic date. And we have seen you climb the rocks on Suomenlinna and scream at the Cruise Liners sailing by.

And WE WANT YOU to tell us all about it.

To participate, all you need to do is: submit your review/short story/photos/whatever to our facebook page or email everything to: info@hellohelsinki.fi. We really don’t care what form or shape you chose, as long as you tell us about a Helsinki beach/water front/sandy area in a creative way (watch your file sizes though). And while you’re at it, add your favorite beach to our Hello Helsinki Google Map!

Every week we will select a ‘Beach of the Week’ to get you guys started. (You may submit any beach you like, though).
The very best reviews will be featured right here on the blog. We base this partly on how many people ‘like’ your submission, so get your friends clicking!
If you’re super lucky you might just win a prize as well (yes, even in case your review doesn’t make the cut).
And did we mention the very popular and eternal HELLO HELSINKI love? You’ll have earned it. Forever!
